As VP of Merchandise, you'll be the generalist merchandising leader for LSKD's US business — owning range architecture, assortment planning, pricing and margin strategy, and the flow of product from concept through to the customer. You'll work hand-in-hand with Design, Product Development, and Supply Chain, bringing a strong working understanding of production and inventory management so that what we plan is what we can actually make, ship, and sell. 

This is a remote, US-based role reporting directly to our GMM in Australia and alongside of the CGO based in Austin, with regular collaboration across time zones with our Australian HQ.

Job Description

Topline:

Merchandise Planning & Range Strategy

  • Own end-to-end merchandise planning for the US market — range architecture, assortment breadth/depth, and seasonal flow
  • Build and manage financial plans including sales, margin, markdown and open-to-buy budgets
  • Translate brand and category strategy into commercially sound, customer-led ranges
  • Set pricing and promotional strategy in partnership with Sales/eCommerce and Finance
  • Use sell-through, trend and customer data to make sharp, fast in-season and pre-season calls

Supply Chain, Production & Inventory Alignment

  • Bring a strong generalist understanding of supply chain, production timelines and manufacturing constraints into every planning decision
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Production to align buy quantities, lead times and capacity to demand
  • Own inventory health across the US business — stock cover, aged stock, in-stock rates and replenishment
  • Identify and mitigate risks across the supply chain that could impact range delivery or in-stock position
  • Support cost and margin improvement initiatives without compromising product quality or delivery

Cross-Functional pioneer from the Northern Hemisphere

  • Partner closely with Design and Product Development to align vision, cost, timing and execution
  • Provide merchandising and commercial input into product briefs, range reviews and Go-To-Market milestones
  • Present range strategy, performance and risk at key business and leadership forums
  • Act as the connective tissue between Australian HQ functions and the US business

Team Leadership & Capability

  • Start the process to identify future US structure - that is to build, lead and develop a high-performing US merchandising team as the business scales
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable and growth-oriented team culture
  • Establish clear ownership, planning cadences and ways of working
  • Champion continuous improvement across merchandising tools, systems and processes

Systems & Process

  • Ensure effective use and integrity of planning and PLM systems (including 3 Clicks) and supporting tools
  • Maintain accurate planning documentation and visibility across the merchandise lifecycle
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning workflows, reporting and scalability as LSKD grows in the US

Decision Responsibility

  • Recommending range plans, buy strategies, pricing and inventory investment
  • Executing approved merchandise and inventory plans
  • Signing off on range and assortment readiness ahead of launch
  • Escalating risks and trade-offs with clear options and recommendations

Why you'll be a great fit...

  • Proven experience as a generalist Merchandising leader (VP, Director, GM or Head of Merchandising) in apparel, footwear or a related consumer product category
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, production and inventory management, and how these connect to merchandising and financial plans
  • Track record owning range, assortment and financial planning end-to-end, including OTB/inventory investment
  • Experience operating in high-growth, founder-led or scaling DTC/wholesale brands
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners across Design, Product Development, Supply Chain and Finance
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complexity and competing priorities
  • Experience with merchandising/planning and PLM systems and process governance
  • Clear communicator who can translate complexity into practical, commercial recommendations
